Everyone procrastinates at least sometimes and not completing tasks on time can lead to a huge loads of work and sometimes we even quit our decision to complete the task because it just piles up at the end. Today we will be discussing about the topic of getting rid of procrastination.
The Parkinson's Law states '' WORK EXPANDS TO THE TIME ALLOWED FOR IT''. This means that the more time you give to yourself or the longer you set a deadline for accomplishing a goal or completing a task the more the load of the work is going to increase and the more you tend to procrastinate.

Lets say you want to write a book of 200 pages. If you set the deadline for 5 years you'll probably not start working on the goal for a few weeks or months but if I tell you that the deadline is after 6 months you'll probably start working on it earlier than you would in a 5-year deadline case. Why? Cause this situation is forcing you to quit procrastination and get to work. Even if you start working from day 1 for the 5 year deadline case you will be spending huge and unnecessary amounts of time on every single thing abut the book because your brain knows that there is too much time given and you can go smoothly. So you may even spend a couple weeks just thinking the name of the book and the design of the cover page. Whereas when the deadline is 6 months, your brain will automatically cut off unnecessary time and only focus on stuff which is actually needed. Does this mean your book will be far worse than the 5 year deadline case? Of course not. There may be minor differences but not a huge difference as your focus level will automatically increase with a shorter deadline and you will be doing more quality work with much more focus and productivity in lesser time.
This ideology may sound extremely simple but when you actually apply this to your daily life you'll start to notice great changes.
Thank you!
